Why devs need an EDITOR seat to download images?

Hi there!
Once upon a time Figma was sensible enough not to require a DEV accessing the files to have an EDITOR role to be able to download the images from the files.
Now it seems only editors can do this.
Now this poses 2 problems:

  1. Editors and DEVS can be of 2 different companies, and one may not want to give the other company EDITING rights to their files.

  2. Editors and Devs are of the same company but why make DEVS pay the same fee for a seat when they use 1% of the design capabilities of the platform (just exporting the images) and none of the advanced editing capabilities that are paid thru the EDITOR seat fee?

Would love to have a discussion about this, and maybe have a more granular role/permissions editor?
