Working on projects with images gave me this issue. Making a group of pictures act like varieties of one component…then i realized i can’t fill the frame with that so had an exhausting work of filling each frame manually adding images externally with no option to add ones already in my Figma file.
So my idea is to make a special kind of component that is used just to act as a fill for “Fill > Image” option, so it doesn’t get confused with normal component mechanics.
Images would act as varieties of one component and when changing varieties original frame “Fill>Image” settings would stay the same.
