I have been working on this new website project. I am using the smart animate feature in several places. Whenever I click to trigger the animation, the screen scrolls up for the amount of time set for the animation. If I set 100ms, then for that time, I am scrolled to the top of the website screen and scrolled back again. I miss my element being animated. The only thing I see is a quick glimpse of the header section of the website. I have tried to restart my Mac, restart Figma, and open my file in the browser version. I even tried to clean up the cache and nothing seems to help. I tried to use “instant” in animate, it is working fine. I have no idea of how to fix this problem.
Hey @Azizbek, thanks for reaching out and sorry to hear your prototype using smart animate is glitching!
Are you able to share your file with us publicly?
If so, please add a link to your file in this topic thread and share edit access with support-share@figma.com, so we can take a closer look.
Hey @dvaliao, thanks for the reply. https://www.figma.com/design/cFxHW0RC0lmFHnlPk1dwgB/Hero-Experiences-Group?node-id=17-2&t=zrIX2V43NjWLYJwn-1
Here is the file link, only view access. If you need editor access, I will need to generate it from my different account.
Thanks, @Azizbek!
We do need edit access to see how your layers have been set up in the Prototype tab. If you’re not able to share edit access here, feel free to reach out to our technical quality team directly here: https://help.figma.com/hc/en-us/requests/new?ticket_form_id=360001744374
@dvaliao sorry replying back this late, I have been busy with a task. Here is the test file with smart animation.
Animation works fine on a separate frame without any extra elements or frames. As soon as I try to use the feature on a landing page, I get this weird scroll-up-and-down effect during the animation period. Just try the animation in the file.
I am testing my previous projects where I used smart animation. The feature is working as needed in those projects. The problem started 2 months ago, I assume it started after I got the new UI. I even tried to use the smart animation in the old UI, but still no use.
Hey @Azizbek, thanks for following up!
Our team confirmed that this is a bug that they’re investigating. This is not the expected behavior, so we’ve pass your file onto the team to take a closer look. We’ll provide an update once we hear back on their progress.
