Hi everyone,
I am the only designer in a company and I’ve been invited to the company’s Figma file as an editor, we were on the free plan but now, we need to migrate to a pro plan….If the company pays pro plan for just an editor(me) with they themselves still being on a free plan, will I have access to all the pro features?
Hey Ojone, welcome to the community!
You will have access to the Pro features in your Pro paid team.
To clarify how this works, when you upgrade to a Pro plan, you get one design editor license for one Figma team. This means one person can make edits to the files within that team. The team owner must pay $15/month for each additional editor working on files in that team, and there are no free editors.
As reminder, plans are set at the team level and not the account level.
Each team is responsible for payment for all ‘full’ (editors) seats who have access to the team or your team’s files, regardless of whether that user belongs to another paid team or not. This is since team billing happens independently from the other.
To access the Professional plan features, you and your team will need to be working on the paid team.
I hope that clears things up! I would also recommend checking out the following articles which dive into all the details: Billing on the Professional plan, Guide to team management.
