I have a team that uses Figma and FigJam. But, its block because needs to paid plan. I need to knw if I buy a professional plan how many people in that file can edit? dose they need paid plan for themselves or they can be free and editing?

Professional plan price is $15/month per 1 editor. You need to pay for each one in team.

The Professional plan subscription is set up per team, not per individual. This means that when you subscribe to a Professional plan, your team is billed based on the number of active editors within that specific team.

Each team member who has editing access (a “full seat”) is counted as an editor and is billed monthly or annually, depending on your billing cycle. If someone is already an editor on another Professional team, they would still need a paid full seat on your team if they need editing permissions here too.

Figma has two products: Figma design and FigJam. Each product has three seat types: viewer, viewer-restricted, and full.

  • Full Seats (Paid): Only users with full seats can create, edit, and access the complete set of Figma and FigJam features. Each team member who needs editing capabilities will need a paid full seat.

  • Viewer Seats (Free): Viewers can view and add comments to files but cannot edit files within the team workspace. They are free seats and can work in their own drafts but have limited team access.

  • Viewer-Restricted Seats (Free): Similar to viewer seats, but these users cannot upgrade to a paid seat independently.

To answer your question about how many people can edit the file: any team member with a full (paid) seat on your Professional team can edit the file. Each additional editor will need a paid seat. So, if you have 5 people who need to edit, your Professional plan will need 5 full (paid) seats for those users.
