Offset timing in prototyping

Hello! I am trying to offset the timing in my prototyping reactions. If I have 3 objects moving into frame, I would like them to arrive at different times. So object one moves in, but BEFORE it has finished, object two starts moving in, and so on. I think the delay function would work for this, if we could do a negative delay. As it is, every objects needs to complete its motion before another one starts - is there a way to do this?
