Got multiple variants of a component, which each have a hover state within them

Got multiple variants of a component
which each have a hover state within them.
(made from the same main component)
When I edit the hover state, it does not save out and remember the text changes.

1.Main component with hover state.
2. Other component

Variant of main component 1 → Hover state
Variant of main component 2 → hover state
Variant of main component 3 ->hover state

When I edit the hover state in 2. other component, it resets the variant of the main component, and vice versa.

any tips? am i going about this incorrectrly?
