Since Figma does not support going back to previous views, it is quite frustrating to switch between pages. Would you ever allow the same file to be opened in another tab, but not in a new app window?

This would become very handy to switch between pages in the same file.

hi @Franco_Andrade

Would you ever allow the same file to be opened in another tab, but not in a new app window?

It’s already possible, just right click the active tab and chose “Open in Split Tab

Hi Haroll, I know about this feature but that’s not exactly what I mean.
I am working on a laptop which screen state becomes super tight with a split view.
I want separated tabs of the same file in full width, with independent views.

Oh ok, I’m afraid there is no such a thing in the application right now. You might need to use Figma in a browser to to so

Hey @Franco_Andrade, thanks for the feedback and apologies for the delayed reply!

We’ll pass this onto the team for future consideration.

Pls add this

PLEASE add this feature !!!

hey every one for now you can use this work around

  1. Open your file in protype preview shift+space
  2. Then you can take the protoype to open in separate window (expand)
  3. Move the new prototype window just drag it outside and leave it
  4. now you can easliy click open in editor now you have the same file in another view

seem alot put it is realy simple

Preview Prototype
Exband View
Open editor
