Allow the users can move the new toolbar through the canvas, that today is fixed underneath the page.
I liked the new version but I believe some extra flexibility on it would be welcome.
Movable toolbar
+1 came here to request this exact thing. It is fixed to the bottom of my browser, very far away from my working space. I’d prefer to move it around wherever I want. 🙂
Please allow the toolbar to be repositioned in FIGJAM.
Currently it is locked above the selected item, which puts it in the way 80% of the time.
Please allow the user to move the toolbar where they want it and have it stay there until repositioned.
The current version is almost always in the way ^^
The bottom toolbar really really needs options to move it, infact the entire UI needs customizability in total, Affinity Studio are slowly creeping in on the Market share, and soon, in terms of any design work of any kind, will shine if you dont catch up. But atleast, start with the tool bar, this used to be out of the way, and now its inside the workspace, the valuable visual workspace, uncluttered is key, unobstruction, and if the option is there to have all the sub tools out in a full width anchored bar and that takes from the visual design canvas area, thats ok, as long as there is options, different ways of working, or, well nevermind if Figma is for “Agents” of the future and Agentic is all this will be. Pfff right who cares, throw out the tray all together.
