I love the new horizontal layer scrolling but still prefer the tool bar at the top of the screen especially since I’m working on a smaller Mac. The bottom floating toolbar in the middle bottom of the screen just feels inefficient in the way. I mainly use shortcut keys anyways and hardly use the toolbar. Is there anyway I could still have the toolbar at the top but still have the horizontal layer scroll feature?
I agree! Please add the horizontal scroll to the old UI. I find the new UI to be detrimental. The floating toolbar visually interferes and easily lost against complicated prototypes. That was enough for me to opt out and even now would rather use the old UI without horizontal layer scroll than the new UI with it. Aside from the layer panel scroll, the old UI is very functional and I wish Figma’s company efforts were focused on better art/design tools and prototyping features rather than breaking something that was working very well.
Totally agree, the horizontal scrolling made me try the new UI again, but its just daft. I switched back, I’d rather not be able to scroll than have the whole UI become confusing. The sideboard shuffles properties around, the tools vanish against complex layouts… I hope they don’t force it on us at some point!
