We need a default page background option to reflect and respect the user’s theme automatically. When I’m using Dark Mode and no specific page background color is set, it should default to #1E1E1E, while for someone using Light Mode the page background should be #F5F5F5.

I imagine something like a simple toggle “Use background color based on theme“ or something like this, as the default, with the option to set a custom background color that becomes the background color for everyone.

i was googling how to do just this, so i’d love if this was an actual feature. thank you for sharing it!

Agreed, I think a sensible approach would be to use the default background colour for the user’s selected theme if the background hasn’t been changed from the default. If it has been changed then just give the option to specify different light + dark mode background colours

When working with some interfaces, it is useful to change the page colour (e.g. to a darker colour).

On an account and/or project and/or file basis, it would be useful to be able to set the default page colour, used when creating new pages - rather than defaulting to #F5F5F5

#F5F5F5 (or similar) is especially common to use as a background colour on UIs, to offset against white - e.g. when cards are used.
