Dark Mode asset library accessibility bug

The same issue with my icons libary…
Need white bg for preview

I am reposting this because I didn’t get much replies and this rather an important issue. After enabling dark mode, the assets with darer color are barely visible in assets panel due to their dark background. Is there any workaround or we should wait for a fix?

LOVE the new dark mode! Truly, excellent job and excellent talk at config Figma team.

The one thing that has been a bit of an issue is assets and components that default in light mode being super low contrast and very hard to see or use on the side bar. Even a mid-gray value for the cards would be a bit better as a quick fix! I’ve attached an example of the Microsoft fluent icons

Well, if you design dark with light mode on, it is not any better 😉

Try to wrap them in a frame with light bg and re-publish.
Brute force workaround: you can also try do just add bg to all these icons.

Same issue with icons, can’t see anything. Always need to switch to light mode to view these assets.

Facing the same issue. Forced to switch to light view to view these assets. Dark mode isn’t useful at all until this gets resolved.

This issue is still persisting for me, however it is more the labels that give me trouble. In light mode the text is legible, but in dark mode something isn’t adjusting properly resulting in poor readability.

hey all, I found a work-around for this. basically Figma will default to whatever background you’ve used for the icons WRAPPER frame. so if your icons are part of the component set, you can add a background to that, and it will render your icons visible again. HOWEVER, if that frame is inside of a section, then Figma defaults to the sections color, so you gotta adjust that background color.
