  1. How to copy and paste text from Word documents has changed. I’m having trouble pasting into text boxes in particular.

  2. When I copy and paste text from Word it appears as an image in Figma. I have to paste as an image using CMD+V then repaste with CMD+SHIFT+V for the text to paste into a box.

  3. Has the way you copy and paste changed in Figma recently? It seems this little difference is adding quite a lot of time to my workflow at the moment.

This has been fixed, just need to be sure you paste in a text box.

When I paste a paragraph into a text box, it is pasting as ONE single line. How do I get the text to wrap? The “auto width”, “auto height”, “fixed size” options don’t help make this adjustment.

I think you could solve this by drawing a text box and then pasting text in.

That is what I’m doing, is creating a text box and pasting the text inside of it. Instead of filling the constraints within the box, it pasts as one line on top of itself, so it’s creating a mess of illegible words.

Yeah but it had worked before It shouldn’t have regressed. Same for window overlap they changed the behavior without even asking that sucks.

I’m pasting text (CMD+SHIFT+V) from external sources into Figma components hundreds of times per session. Pasting overrides my formatting and I have to reset the Text style and the Fill which is a HUGE productivity killer to me.

I don’t think anyone would ever want to keep the formatting when pasting into any text field from outside Figma.

I certainly want to avoid installing another plugin to paste. Please make CMD+V an unstyled paste by default.

Update: CMD+SHIFT+V works well inside Figma and when you paste from outside, it doesn’t carry the formatting. This resolves the case for me.

Any fix on this BUG?

Paste as text still doesn’t work.

SOLVED for PCs:

Windows + V you will get a pop-up window, turn on Clip board history, see image below.

After it is on, CNTRL V works to paste!

that works for PC’s!

any solve for this yet?
