It would be nice to have a feature within the comments function where we can temporarily mute a specific user or project’s comment notifications. Or it could be a “Figma Focus Mode” where we won’t receive multiple comment notifications.

I confirm this is not possible at the moment to disable in-app notifications. We will pass your feedback along to our team for future improvements.
In the meantime, if you are not aware about this feature, you can turn email notifications on or off for individual files.
You can modify email notification settings for the following events:
File comments
- All comments on your files and any threads you’re in
- Only mentions and replies
- None
