Same as in photoshop, fireworks, CSS. Being able to Skew an object has been industry standard for years… I remember it back in Adobe Fireworks CS4. Should be a simple implementation imo?

There is no native support, however you can find plenty plugins to do the job

You could try this plugin, although I agree that it would be better if this would be a native function.
