Please allow us to attach comments to a specific element. Otherwise, the comments can appear nonsensical because Figma is not aware of the state of the prototype when the comment is made.

Variables are such a great feature and saved me from the prototype spaghetti! But when using variables to show different design options, I have no idea which option stakeholder comments are referencing.
I’m using auto layout to keep all my flows and artboards tidy as I’m designing. Sometimes I need to drop something in the middle of a frame (which results in objects within the frame being pushed downwards). If there were comments from a design review on an object below… Now, they are no longer pointing at where they were dropped. WHAT A PAIN! Even if it’s a right click to attach comment to this object would be ok.
Came here exactly look for post or upvote this request. Spend so much time chasing down comments and repositioning them when reorganizing/tidying up a file. Hours every week.
