  • Creating an arrow (->, a vector line + ending).

  • Turning it into a component

Please, decide wether, the lines’ ends are overridable or not 🙂

Hi @Vincent_Beneche, Thanks for sharing your thoughts about arrow component instance endpoint override.

I tested this on my end and found that if the component End point is a line arrow, the instance’s nested arrow’s End point cannot be overridden, but the Start point can be overridden with a line arrow.

I completely understand that this can be a bit confusing.

I checked our help center article, but it doesn’t mention whether we can apply overrides to the stroke start point and end point: Apply overrides to instances

It seems that the stroke start and end points may not be supported. However, I’ll check internally to confirm if this behavior is intended. I will provide an update once I have more information!

In the meantime, we would appreciate hearing from other members in our community! Please feel free to share your thoughts and vote up if you agree!

Thank you.

Hi @Vincent_Beneche! After consulting internally, it seems that this issue may be related to a longstanding bug. While we can’t make any promises, we have added your post to that report to increase awareness of the issue.

In the meantime, as a temporary solution, if you detach the instance, you should be able to update the start/end point.

I hope this information helps clarify things a bit.

We truly value your support here!

Thanks,

Thanks for your reactivity.

Don’t worry I can cope with it otherwise.

I was just mentioning it so you can make this amazing piece of software even better.

As a User, I would love if both end of the arrow could be ovveriddable.

It would allow me to create only on vector component that will then be used as a right and/or left arrow in my design.
