Currently the only way for Organizational account administrators to remove unused seats (Design, FigJam or Dev Mode) in our respective account is by contacting the Support Team. I did just that a week before our annual subscription renewal to remove 2 unassigned seats before our invoice was issued and no one replied in time to get the seats removed, so the invoice was sent for the higher price. I spent the last month going back and forth with the Support Team arguing that we should not have to pay this extra cost as I followed procedure for updating our account and finally got Figma to issue a new invoice, but we should not have to go through that process to administer our accounts.


Administrators can easily add seats at any time they wish, so it makes sense that during the 2-week review period before a subscription renews or a quarterly “True-up” we should also be able to remove unused seats ourselves and not have to rely on the Support Team, which becomes a bottleneck.
