I noticed in the past month that search has gotten worse, specifically when looking for icons. Our library follows a naming standard of “name_24px” with the name varying by icon and the number varying by size.

I’m guessing something about this format is confusing search even when the right answer is the closest match.

Eg. Searching “star” for an icon named “star_24px” does not work…

but it does suggest icons named “restart_alt_24px” and “store_mall_directory_24px” which are clearly less correct than the icon I wanted.

I cant personally change the icon naming structure - can this be fixed?

I am having serious user friction while searching icons. This is crazy, here’s my user story:
1. I have my own icon library with something like 800 icons
2. I have two versions of an icon “icon-title-1” and “icon-title-1-outline”
3. I want to instance swap an icon in an asset
4. I click swap instance menu
5. I type “ic”
6. Results are random! I could have any name show up and in whatever order. like no relationship to “ic” what-so-ever

Screen shot of searching for “chevron”

🤦🏼 LOL,
so I exited the search example I shared above, and started an asset swap again. I typed “ch” once more and this time the results were completely different again. a little closer to expected results but still pretty chaotic. I will now call this “rolling for initiative” … NO Wait, this is more like rolling “Investigation” and Figma is rolling “Slight of Hand”
