Do you recall the exact date that you noticed this? You haven’t noticed any other changes that are similar in different apps, right?
What version of Windows are you currently running?

I’ve checked internally and this seems to be fixed now. Could you please check if you’re still experiencing this issue? I’d recommend to Force-quit the Figma Desktop app and restart it.
Hi @Gayani_S - it’s still present on my desktop version sadly.
I killed Figma with the task manager and opened again but it’s the same as before.

Quick update if anyone is following this / has had the same issue;
Support told me the following:
"To confirm, are the tabs now black for you, like in this screenshot?
This is what is is expected to look like now, and changing between the Light and Dark theme will actually not change this, it will always remain black in this UI.
Changing between the light and dark theme will just change left and right hand panels, and the canvas background in new files as detailed here: Change themes in Figma
The original issue you reported in the forum was in fact a bug (when you saw the light colored tabs). Seeing the black tabs is expected."
and furthermore
" To clarify further - the light tabs are actually part of the new UI, named Ui3: Navigating UI3: Figma’s new UI
The bug was that the Ui3 tabs had been displaying in the desktop app for users (whether they were in the beta or not), when they should not have been."
