I have restarted Figma and my iMac multiple times but the space bar isn’t working so I can pan around. Instead, when I press the space bar it goes to the url: “config.figma.com”.

We just tried to reproduce the issue, but using the space bar + dragging to pan is working as expected.
Is this happening both in browser and using the desktop app? What other troubleshooting steps have you tried so far?
- logging out and back in
- clearing your browser/desktop app’s cache
- un-installing and re-installing the desktop app
I was having a similar annoying issue where my spacebar was not triggering my pan shortcut as expected - it turned out that a program on my computer was overriding this function. In my case this program was “Holdkey”, which adds keyboard functionality for alternate characters. I closed Holdkey and Figma’s spacebar functions started working again.
I would recommend opening your Task Manager if you are on Windows and going through any non-essential processes and closing them one by one to troubleshoot this issue. Hopefully you can find the intruder and fix this annoying issue!
