The solutions about opacity did not help me since they are set to 100% In design mode its grey and prototype mode it goes basically black. I don’t know why this is happening. Its unusable to show anyone like this at the moment. Anyone help would be greatly appreciated.

Recheck the opacity of not only the layers, but also the fills. Also check the blend modes of layers and fills.

Are you saying that if I have fills of images, text backgrounds etc., set to an opacity lower than 100% this could be the cause of the problem?
OMG, what a idiot I am. I found the problem. The prototype page itself was set to a black background for some reason. Thanks for your reply and assistance regardless.
