I want to move layers / content further away

In the old UI, when I moved the content to the sidebar, the canvas already started scrolling, but in the new UI, below the sidebar is the canvas, which means that I have to move the content to the edge of the screen before the canvas scrolls. This is a little more troublesome than before.

My idea: Start scrolling the canvas when a cursor / drag point is detected to the sidebar, or retract the sidebar to the edge of the screen when a drag object is detected
