Missing AI Prompt Features on Education Account

I’m using the latest version of Figma on my education account and have activated AI, but I don’t see the AI prompt in the toolbar for creating prototypes, designs, or suggesting auto layout. Does anyone know why these features might not be available?

Hey @Lance_Le_Goff, thanks for reaching out! We appreciate your excitement to try the new AI features.
AI features are only available on a limited beta, so it’s likely that you don’t see the AI features, because your account hasn’t been added yet.

We are not able to manually add anyone to the Figma AI beta at this time, but we are still rolling it out to individuals over the next months.

You’ll receive an in-app notification as soon as it’s ready on your end. Once granted access, you’ll get an invitation in Figma to dive right into the new tools.

Even I’m not able to use Figma ai on my education account.

Would request the team at Figma to quickly resolve this issue

Have you received an in-app notification granting you access? If so, please check which team has been granted access, as AI features are team-specific. You can double-check the team picker in the sidebar to locate all your teams and see if the features are available there.

If you’re still unable to find access or need further assistance, feel free to share more details, and I’ll look into this for you.

First of all, Thank you so much for the reply.

Secondly, I have not received the in-app notification granting me access to Figma_ai
Although I have access to ai beta in FigJam but not in Figma. (sounds interesting to me !)

Let me know what else you need to activate the ai features from your end.

Thanks for your response @Vaibhav_Sharma1! If you haven’t received an in-app notification, it means your account hasn’t been added to the beta yet. Once you’re granted access, you’ll receive an invitation in Figma to start exploring the new tools.

Regarding your access to AI in FigJam but not in Figma Design, let me explain:

There are two different AI features- one for FigJam and one for Figma Design:

FigJam AI helps you quickly create and organize boards for meetings, team exercises, or personal projects. Since you’re already seeing this feature in FigJam, it’s working as expected.
First Draft with Figma AI in Figma Design is designed to help turn ideas into editable wireframes or designs quickly. Access to this feature is gradually rolling out. Right now, accounts are being added over time, and notifications will be sent directly in the app once it’s available to you.
