Hello!

I am a community advocate for FOF, Sofia for Bulgaria and we experience difficulties when we want to use Bulgarian Cyrillic in several fonts with the “Stylistic sets” feature, but Bulgarian Cyrillic just doesn’t work. When I try the same in Adobe Illustrator for example - there are no problems. The only solution we’re able to find is to change the font’s core defaults to this type of Cyrillic, otherwise, it is impossible to use the stylistic set in Figma.

Best Regards,

Working on an enterprise level & not being able to use something as simple as normal Cyrillic font support? Cmon Figma, I know you can do better.

Great request! Hope to see an update on this topic soon 🤞t3:

Folks, May 24 is the Day of Bulgarian Alphabet, Bulgarian Enlightenment and Culture. Wouldn’t it be awesome if we have this feature working by then? 🙇‍♂️

We had this issue with so many clients. With almost every bulgarian client, actually, especially the ones that prefer to have a free Google font. I think it’s time to fix this - all it takes is an option in the Figma UI to change the localization of the font.

Bulgarian cyrillic is beautiful and makes a huge difference in the overall look and feel.

+1 from me - we need Bulgarian Cyrillic in Figma. Go the localization route and allow us to change the language of the text or just the document as a whole.

+1 from me! We really need this!

That would be a significant change for the Bulgarian web design world. Please, make it happen!
