UI3 added some improvements to editing interactions, like a resizable window, but also made other things much harder.

For example, if I have a statement like…

If myVar > 0 and myOtherVar == true

…and I need to replace myVar with myNewVar I used to be able to simply place the insertion point after myVar or use the arrow keys to move it there, delete myVar and type or pick it’s replacement.

Now Figma refuses to let me do this. Instead highlighting myVar and offering up a menu of modes. If I delete myVar it then refuses to put the insertion point before the ==

I now have to delete the whole statement and retype it.

Am I missing something here?
