1. Describe the bug/issue you’re running into?
Text cannot be vertically resized, once they break into a separate line, the line height stays the same, regardless if you adjusted the line width.
2. Are you able to consistently reproduce it? If so what are the steps?
Type text. Click out. Add more text later. Let it break into two lines while typing. Adjust the length so that it’s one line again. But the height do not auto adjust or does not let me manually adjust.
3. Share a screenshot, recording, console log, link to the file, etc.
(suggestion for bug reporting UI: Please consider changing the image upload icon to an image/standard. It took me a while to figure out how to attach a screenshot)
4. Is the issue only happening in a desktop app or a specific browser, or both?
Only tested on Browser
5. What OS/version and/or browser/version are you using?
MacOS Catalina 10.15.7, Version 90.0.4430.93 (Official Build) (x86_64)
Hi Josh, Thank you for the reply. LOVE figjam!
The text issue is not just auto height. The ‘real’ auto height is less. This happens when the text breaks into two lines, but if I decided to increase the width of the text to keep it single row.
For anyone who may be looking for an existing workaround, text boxes can be vertically resized in FigJam using the keyboard shortcut Shift-Command-Up Arrow on Mac.
You can also avoid the unwanted extra lines by clicking once to start a new text area and then resizing the container after you have started typing. This will allow the text to behave more like auto layout text in Figma.
When i create a 1 line height text and input many characters, the height will auto expand to 2 or more lines, but when i stretch the text width to fit the content, the height will remain unchanged
