Although there isn’t a layers panel to interact with, you can lock layers by using the same keyboard shortcuts (shift+command+L / shift+control+L) to lock layers in design files.

It would be great if this was made visible in the UI - it is only visible once you know the keyboard shortcut to lock the layer.
