Hey all, just merged these threads together to keep everything in one place. We have this logged on our side and our team is taking a look at it. We’ll share updates here as we can. Thanks!
same here. It started after updating to Sonoma and the last Figma update.
MacBook Pro, 14-inch, M1, 2021."
It helps when Figma is not fullscreen.
That’s my current hack for it 🙂
Same. Reported this behaviour last week to Figma on X (formerly Twitter) and also using the report form. It’s been happening ever since the Sonoma Beta, happens only on external monitors in full-screen. Please look into it, it’s slowing my work down dramatically.
Thanks!
Thanks for the additional context! We’ll pass this onto our team while they try to reproduce and fix.
Same here. It started after update to macOS Sonoma. It seems to happen only on desktop app in full screen mode using an external monitor.
MacBook Pro, 14-inch, M1 Max 2021
Is there any update on a timeline to fix? It’s making using Figma very frustrating
After the latest update, I’m facing an issue on Figma and I was hoping that it would be fixed soon. But now it’s getting so irritating.
Problem:
When I open multiple tabs on full-screen mode If I switch to another tab it opens in new windows instead of the same windows.
Hello? Is there any update on that issue? @Figma_Moderation
Same here on macOS Sonoma, it is very annoying… The solution is to not use fullscreen window mode. I precise that it happen only on my external screen and not on my Macbook screen !
Same here,
I use the app in full screen
MacBook Pro M1 (2021), external monitor (HD Dell P2422H), my laptop screen is open, multiple spaces, stage manager is on
^ that’s my office setup
I connect my laptop to another monitor at home (4K BenQ), and the exact same thing happens.
I’m too experiencing this same behaviour. I did the Sonoma Update last friday night and didn’t use it for the whole weekend. Monday morning when I started working with Figma, I’ve noticed the issue. Too bad it’s been so long and no fixes still.
I have the same problem now after updating to macOS Sonoma.
My setup is a MBP with M1 and external Samsung Monitor (3440 x1440). I have 3 spaces and I use Figma in fullscreen mode.
The only solution right now seems to be to not use full-screen mode.
I use the Figma app in mac and I’ve come across this recently. If I have multiple tabs open and then click on one, Figma moves that tab into a new window altogether. Anyone knows how to fix this?
Is any update required or can we use any plugin to Merge all tabs?
Happens to me as well. Super annoying!
I am having the same issue. Only in Figma and only on an external monitor in full screen. Hopefully this gets addressed quickly.
Thanks for letting us know!
We’ll pass this along to the team. Right now, it’s likely due to a very specific setup with external monitors. Again, we will continue to update this thread once we have more info or a fix ready to push. Thanks for your patience as we continue to investigate!
Also dealing with this, since updating to Sanoma, would be great if this can be fixed sooner rather than later
Same, here, using the same, MacBook Air 2020 M1 and external monitor 😕 hope they fix this soon, unbearable.
Can confirm this to be an issue as well. MBP M1 (2020) with an Lenovo 2k monitor. Very annoying.
Same issue here; it’s super duper annoying! Any updates from @Figma?
This issue is driving me a bit crazy. Any updates on how to solve it? It becomes increasingly difficult when I am working with 5+ tabs and clicking each of them becomes a new window! 😭
Do you have any date for that? It is annoying to work like that.
