I’m trying to remove the diagonal mask from this component, but it doesn’t show up layers so I don’t know how to remove it. Is this a bug or is there a workaround?

You already applied this image in diagonal shape, is not a mask. So you can’t remove any mask.
Maybe you can try this:
- Draw a new shape and apply image on it.
- Place a new image.
