Managing and keeping track of a student account

Hello!
I recently successfully verified myself as a student to get access to a professional plan. However, when browsing through my account, I couldn’t find a certain place in which I could verify my account status as a student, nor I can find how to check for how long it will last.

I know that I can now create new professional workspaces, as well as upgrade my free one. However, before updating my workspace, I’d like to know if there’s a way to keep track of not only when and how it expires, but also if there’s anything I have to be aware of when/if it downgrade back to a free space (such as members losing access to files, or anything that could reorganize my files and projects in an unexpected way).

Hey @Matheus_Sa! Sorry for a late response - you’ll get reminder emails for when your education plan expires at different intervals to alert you (4 weeks, two weeks, and some additional sooner dates). Student status is on the team level, and not the account level.

At the moment, there’s no visible date that will show in your education team settings, but I’m noting that you’d like this feature. In general, education benefits will last for 2 years from your original approval date. After 2 years, you’ll need to re-verify your education status to see if your team will still qualify for free benefits. See here for additional info.

When it comes to what you can expect if your team’s education status expires, I’d recommend looking at our downgrade help page. Since education plans are just professional plans at no cost to qualified educational users, the same notes on that page will apply.
