Huge lag in the UI

  1. Describe the problem your experiencing and how your idea helps solve this
    I’m experiencing a lot of lag recently. Whenever I add components, use variants, swap component via the design panel, even removing prototype connections. The UI freezes, I can’t select anything and It takes sometimes like 10 seconds for the UI to respond.
    Adding components from the new Insert component modal also causes the UI to freeze. I can’t do anything until it snaps out of it.
    I’m on a M1 MacBook Pro and I’m using the desktop app. I’m also on the interactive components beta. Maybe the “lag” is related the interactive components beta.

  2. Add as much context as possible (screenshots, Figma files, mockups, etc.)
    It happens when:

  • Using variant props.
  • Adding a component to the canvas (the components has variants).
  • Swap the component using the design panel.
  • Removing prototype connections.
    It may happen with other interactions but these are the ones I’ve notice the huge lag on.
  1. Ask questions to bring the community into the conversation
    (e.g. Does anyone else experience this? Is anyone using a plugin or workaround to help solve this?, etc.
    Has anyone else experiencing this? It has been happening for a week now.
