Figma Mirror app only shows a black screen and doesn't work

Hello,

Figma Mirror hasn't been working for few days on my iPhone.

It used to work “ok” before but now, every time I want to use Mirror, I just see a black screen no matter what I try. The app correctly shows the selected frame prior to mirroring but as soon as I tap on “Begin mirroring”, I see nothing but a black screen.

  • I tried with different projects...

  • I restarted Figma on macOS...

  • I rebooted my Mac...

  • I restarted Figma on iOS…

  • I rebooted my iPhone…

  • I logged out/logged in again on macOS and iOS…

  • I “restarted” the preview from the iOS app

Just a black screen.

Has anyone the same issue?

Thank you,

Axel

Hi @alpennec,

I understand you’re experiencing an issue with Figma Mirror.

I noticed that you’ve already submitted a support ticket about this. It seems the issue occurs when you open the figma.com/mirror page in Safari on your iPhone and inspect the page using Safari on your Mac.

Thanks for walking through the additional troubleshooting steps with our Support team. Our technical quality specialist is currently reviewing your console logs, and it looks like they’ve replied with some further troubleshooting suggestions.
When you have a moment, please check your ticket and follow up there to continue the conversation with our team.

For other community members who might come across this post — if you’re having issues with mirroring, we recommend starting with the following basic steps, which often resolve most problems:

  1. Log out of Figma on both the mobile app and your desktop app/browser.

  2. Restart your phone to clear the app cache.

  3. Clear the cache in your browser or desktop app (see our Help Center for instructions).

  4. Log back in to both the desktop app/browser and the mobile app using the same account, and check if mirroring improves.

We also find that keeping your OS and the Figma app updated to the latest versions can help improve performance. If you haven’t already, please try updating to see if that resolves the issue.

Thanks,

Thank you for answering. I’m still in contact with your support team because the issue still occurs even if I use another browser like Chrome, if I disable content blockers or enable pop-ups. I think I've tried everything…

I realized my device is using iOS 18.7.2 RC (released on Octobre 28, 2025) and I don’t think I had this issue with iOS 18.7.1 at the beginning of last week. Maybe this is the reason why it does not work anymore.

Thanks for following up and for sharing the helpful information!

I also appreciate you sharing the same details in your support ticket.

I’ll do my best to follow the conversation there as well, but if you happen to find a solution or any helpful insights from the ticket, it would be great if you could share them here in the Community too. Other Community members might be experiencing the same issue.

The stable version is available as I said in my previous message. Update your device and Figma Mirror will work again.

I am having the exact same issue using the figma app to mirror files in figma desktop.

I have the latest version of the figma app and desktop app, I am running iOS 18.7.2 on my iPhone 16 and I get the double ring loader followed by black screen.

I have also logged out both desktop and mobile apps, restarted my mac and my iphone and still not working.

So not sure what is different to @alpennec but it is still broken for me.

@MrLiamOwen are you sure you’re running iOS 18.7.2 (22H124)? The 18.7.2 RC was not working for me, but it works on the stable version. I can’t update to iOS 26.1 because my iPhone doesn't support it but you could also try to update your device to iOS 26.1

If it still doesn't work, have you tried the troubleshooting steps described above?

Thanks for the quick reply @alpennec it actually looks like I am on (22H123) but I dont have any option to update to the (22H124) version you mentioned. I have updated a test phone to the new iOS 26 but its so awful I am relectant to update my main phone! I will try the mirror app on the test phone and see if it works.

@MrLiamOwen iirc, I think you’ve to turn off Beta Updates in Settings/General/Software Update/Beta Updates to see the 22H124 version.

amazing work  @alpennec that fixed it, thanks for your help. Can also confirm it works fine on the mental iOS 26

Hopefully this thread is seen by others and we have every angle covered now.

@MrLiamOwen happy it helped! I was so frustrated when Figma Mirror wasn’t working on my side. And there weren't any solutions at that time…

Happy mirroring!
