Hello Figma,
I’m working with a design system that requires box-shadow and stroke on heading styles. However, whenever I add the stylized headings as a text style, the style effects don’t display.
It’s frustrating since our team isn’t able to use text styles on this project due to this limitation. Is there support for effects in the upcoming releases?

This is because effect styles, text styles and color styles are separate in Figma. Text style is not attached to any effects or colors. In Sketch you have all properties within one style so I guess you want to have something like that — but Figma doesn’t work that way. You can’t automatically apply effect styles when you apply a certain text style. You need to apply the text style and then apply the effects style.
