Why do some components make universal changes but some don't?

I’m working on updating a change within all my components just to change the color of one line of text. On some component groups, the color changes on the remaining variants but on others I have to go through and manually update the color.

Why could some be applying universal changes but others “nah”?

It is likely that color overrides have been made to some objects. Try resetting the overrides on those objects that don’t accept changes from the master component.
