Very beginner - downscale menubar

For some reason the menubars in the bottom of the site got enormously big, so that I can’t see what is happening on the site. How can I downsize that again? Shortcut or hint where I can find that in the menu would be very helpful. Thanks!!!
(Zoom to fit does not help)
