Variants in auto-layout component not longer accepting <> Fill container

Why is <>Fill container not longer selectable in a auto-layout component’s variants?

  • It seems that all my component variant containers still have it but can not be re-selected, Fill container is no longer in the menu.

  • It is useful to stack variants nicely within components?

  • It is useful for a variant container to have same auto-layout behavior used by the component in the wild?

This is currently a bug that you need to report to support via this link: https://help.figma.com/hc/en-us/requests/new?ticket_form_id=360001744374

In the meantime, you can use the shortcut to change the resizing property: hold Alt/Opt and double-click on the border of the object (left or right to change the horizontal resizing property; top or bottom to change the vertical resizing property).
