Style Dictionary Access

Hi All,

My team is currently working to integrate figma in our Design Workflow.

We were unable to find a way to access the styles without having to assign styles to canvas elements.

Are shape styles and font styles planned to be accessible via the rest API without having component or elements?

The reason for this request is that Designers will often create libraries of styles that they share, but will not apply them to elements.

Any help here would be greatly appreciated.

This is an interesting problem… What I do is read the styles associated with the source library file (where styles are applied at least once) and then combine those to generate a flat structure

Yup, really not what I am looking to do.

Can a figma developer comment on this?
If not, is there a way turn this question into a feature request?
