Show changes to the File/page from the last time it was opened (eg. like MIRO with their purple "Highlight changes")

  1. Problem occurs when working with others, be it more designers or, especially for Developers.
The issue is that there might be slight changes to a Design file (the source of truth) but they’d not notice them cause that’d mean they’d have to carefully check every single frame again and compare it with what was developed already.

Of course it’s possible to try to highlight it in some sense, or create multiple pages or frames with only the changes. Or describing it in JIRa ticket. But all this is duplicate work, frankly, a waste of time.
And with these approaches you also lose “The source of truth” that Figma should be. A place where a QA will come and check that everything’s fine for example.

How do you guys solve it?

That definitely is a surprisingly missing function, it sounds like a professional design tool. I am crying every day for functions like that so I can team work more smoothly. But we’re still mostly in the era of text and columns due to the extreme fragmentation and slowness of programming frameworks these days. Hopefully, AI will help, cheers! P
