Plans for range support in Comments API?

Hey folks, very excited about the upcoming changes to the comments feature in Figma, re: range selection and reactions.

Curious if/when support for the new range parameter might be coming to the Comments REST API GET and POST endpoints.

Also curious (but less immediately applicable to what we’re building) if the reactions metadata might also be added to the REST API.

You think the range support in the API will launch alongside general availability of the new features or come soon after?

+1 to reactions metadata to be added – ideally not just for reading, but also a new possibility to add reactions via comments API endpoint.

It could be a nice opportunity to introduce UPDATE endpoint to Comments API – allowing to:

  • Add reaction
  • Change Resolve status of the comment
  • Edit the comment text
