- Context:
- Decades of desktop app usage makes me hit
⌘+O
every time I want to open a file, but…
- Problem:
-
…right now,
⌘+O
passively brings the user to the file listing, and I end up manually clicking in the Search field from there and type the file name I’m looking to open—100% of the time. -
Of course it’s a small thing. But doing it dozens of times per day add up to useless friction.
- Question
- Would it make sense to always auto-focus the search field after
⌘+O
is triggered?
