Link to node does not work for desktop app

My teammate sent me a link to open Figma to a specific node - https://www.figma.com/file//?node-id=

When opened in the browser, I am taken directly to that node. When opened with the desktop app, I am not. I think I am taken to the last file I was viewing?

Browser: Chrome Version 97.0.4692.71 (Official Build) (x86_64)
Figma: v107.1
OS: MacOS Big Sur 11.6

Follow-up: If I am highlighting the node while in the webapp, and I click “open in desktop app,” it will open to the correct node.
