Is there a limit number that a Variant Component can hold?

The only limit is RAM which is 2GB max per file (browser limitation). So as long as Figma isn’t crashing or showing you out of memory errors, you are good to go.

Hmm… I’m getting a lot of complications for a file that is definitely under 2GB.
I have 1296 Variants to push, but Figma is disabling the button to Publish by saying “No components or style” when they are part of a Variant group. If I break out this Variant and try to Publish 1296 components, Figma ends up failing to Publish. Tried it three times, where the loading took more than 72 hours to reach about 5% before crashing.
Any clues on solving that?
