Is there event associated with figma.timer?

Interestingly one can have access to figma.time figma.timer · Figma Plugins but I can’t see any event does it mean one has to poll state at interval ?

state: ‘STOPPED’ | ‘PAUSED’ | ‘RUNNING’ [readonly]
