If your library is large and has lots of components and variants, then I would suggest you try splitting up your library across multiple files. Upgrading to a pro plan can help, since it allows you to create more than three files in your project, but if you are only using Figma for your own personal use rather than collaboration, the free plan should be enough, since you can create as many files as you want in your drafts.
