Takes horrendously long for projects on the application to load now

Try using a VPN and try different servers.
If your files are Large, you should know that your RAM, CPU, and VGA must meet the requirements for the prototype as well
Yes lots to look at here. How big is the file is it image heavy does a simple file load slowly?
