Hi @vamsi_krishna, thanks for reaching out. I’m sorry to hear you’re having trouble editing your Figma file even though you have edit access.

Can you let me know if this issue is happening in the browser, the desktop app, or both? Are you seeing any error messages when you try to edit?

Is this happening with just one specific file, or are you noticing it across multiple files? It’s also worth double-checking your permissions on the file, as it’s possible the owner may have changed them.

If you’re using the desktop app, could you let me know your macOS version? The desktop app requires macOS 11 or later to function properly.

Here’s a helpful guide with more details in case you’d like to take a look: https://help.figma.com/hc/en-us/articles/5601429983767-Guide-to-the-Figma-desktop-app#h_01HE5QD60DSQGZCAWE05Y7JE6R

Let me know what you find, and I’ll do my best to assist further!

Hey @vamsi_krishna, thanks for your response! Could you please share the URL of the file so I can take a closer look?

It’s possible that your ownership and access have been restricted due to the file’s location. While you might be the owner, your role in the team where the file resides might not be set to “Editor (Full).”

A team owner can check the “Members” tab on the team page to see who is billed as an editor. By filtering “Design role” or “FigJam role” to “Editors” or “All,” they can upgrade your role to “Editor (Full)” if needed, or adjust access settings as necessary.

Let me know if you need further assistance—I’m here to assist!
