Hi, I’m new to Figma and have a question about seats and billing.
I shared a file with another company that works in Figma and they have paid seats. I got an email this morning that I am being charged for adding them as editors, $15 per person per month.
My questions is this. Why do I pay extra when sharing a file with someone who already has a paid seat in Figma? Am I not sharing the file correctly?

Every member or guest on the Professional, Organization, or Enterprise plans has a seat in each of Figma’s products. The type of seat they have determines both their billing status and the actions they can perform in files.
Billing for Figma is generally based on the number of “editors” in a team or organization. An editor is someone who can create or edit files within Figma.
If you have an editor on your file, you’ll need to pay for that seat on your account, even if the guest you’ve invited to the file has a paid plan with a different account.
