Download Icon set from Library

We store all our Icons in one Figma Library, which gets Icons added to and removed from regularly. Our Developers need an easy way to regularly update their icon set. Perfect for us as Designers and for our Dev’s would be to handle the Icons like Tokens, with continuous naming. What makes this even more difficult is the fact that we Designers often create icon component sets, e.g. heart-solid, heart-stroke…

How do you handle this?

If you want to manage a shared Figma icon library, you can use consistent naming like heart/solid to keep designs and development aligned.

Automate exports with Figma plugins or APIs and set up a system to sync updates regularly. Communicate changes clearly and maintain documentation to ensure everyone stays on track.
