Direct link to a component don't seem to work in MacOS app

When I copy a direct link to a component (i.e. right click the component > Copy/Paste > Copy Link), I get a link with a node-id:

https://www.figma.com/file/<file-id>/<file-name>?node-id=<node-id>

I expected these links to focus the component when I open them but it doesn’t seem to work when opening them in the “native” app. It does work as expected when using the browser app, though.
Is there something I can do to directly go to this node? Maybe by copy/pasting the node-id somewhere in the app?

Edit: Actually, it does work the first time the file is opened, but not when it is already opened.
